Derek Henry received his undergraduate degree from University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Gart Properties, Derek held positions with General Growth Properties ranging from General Manager to Group Vice President of Business Development. During his 8 ½ year career with General Growth Derek successfully closed over 9 million dollars worth of deals and managed a team of 3 leasing agents. Notable accomplishments include assisting with the most successful Shopping Center grand opening in General Growth’s history (Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville, IA) and speaking at the 2006 ICSC Temporary Tenant Conference.
